Pengembangan sistem perangkat lunak selalu dihadapkan pada pemilihan metodologi penggembangan yang sangat beragam, hal tersebut menimbulkan kebimbangan bagi pengembang, karena jika salah dalam menentukan dapat mempengaruhi sukses atau tidaknya pengembangn ini. Penelitian digunakan penulis adalah menggunakan data dari penelitian terdahulu, mengulas jurnal, dan dikomparasi, dengan kata lain metode deskriptif. Berdasarkan didapatkan hasil bahwa waterfall tidak cocok model tinggi tahapnya berulang, mahal waktu pengerjaan dilakukan secara bertahap, sedangkan Rapid application development (RAD) untuk proyek besar iterative (berulang) menghemat biaya
